Aloha,
Kauai Community College is now accepting applications for a Marine
Biology instructor! Please share the word with your graduates and
colleagues, past and present, who may be interested in applying. The
announcement can be found at:
http://www.pers.hawaii.edu/wuh/nadvert.aspx?rn=14128&si=1376231&pn=1&sn=postdate&so=desc
<http://www.pers.hawaii.edu/wuh/nadvert.aspx?rn=14128&si=1376231&pn=1&sn=postdate&so=desc>

We are also looking for an enthusiastic and capable teacher to teach
science classes for science majors and non-scientists, mentor student
research projects, and be an asset and resource in the community. The
announcement lists the position as “permanent” but we were forced to
state “Non Tenure” because we secured a private donation to cover the
first three years of salary. We want – and I expect we will be able –
to convert it to tenure track. Of course, I cannot guarantee that it
will so we’re stuck with the designation. Per the link above, the
monthly salary is given over 12 months even though it is a 9-month
position. The minimum salary is $50K ($4167 x 12). Please look to that
link for application instructions.
Mahalo,

Dr. Stephen Taylor
Marine Option Program Coordinator
