1) BOUSSOLE Post-doc positions:

Two 2-year post-doctoral positions are proposed (with a start on January
1st, 2012) at the “Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche (France),
within the “BOUSSOLE” project (see http://www.obs-vlfr.fr/Boussole/) whose
main goals are bio-optics research and calibration/validation activities for
satellite ocean colour sensors. The project includes the development,
deployment, and maintenance of a deep-sea mooring of a new type,
specifically designed and dedicated to marine optics measurements (inherent
and apparent optical properties), and a monthly cruise program on the
mooring site.

Candidates should be suitably qualified (PhD level) in optics of geophysical
fluids, in particular marine optics, and have the necessary
scientific/technical background and experience. The location is in
Villefranche-sur-mer, near Nice on the French Riviera. See attached PDF file
