As you may be aware, JDG Associates, Executive Search Consultants, has been retained by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to identify their Director of Scientific Programs and Chief Science Advisor. This individual will be responsible for approximately $450M of the overall $1B NMFS budget and oversight of 7 Fisheries Science Centers. I've attached a Position Announcement of this key opportunity for your review along with some additional info you might find interesting. Critical to this search are the following criteria:

   * Deep and broad science credibility (Ph.D. Required)
   * Management of a matrixed staff and multi-million dollar budget
