*_Chemistry Tenure-Track Position_*

*Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 10,000 
students in graduate and undergraduate programs.*The University is 
located in the borough of Kutztown in a charming rural setting, and is 
within 20 minutes driving time of the diverse metropolitan areas 
Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and within 60 minutes of the 
Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University is very interested in 
hiring employees who have had extensive experience with diverse populations.

*The Department of Physical Sciences invites applications for a 
tenure-track faculty position in chemistry at the Assistant Professor 
level commencing August 2011.*  A Ph.D. is preferred, but ABD will be 
considered with conferral of Ph.D. by August 29, 2011.  One-year of 
college-level teaching experience or equivalent (e.g. teaching 
assistantships), and a successful interview that will include a 
demonstration of teaching ability are required.  The primary teaching 
responsibilities will include general and organic chemistry.  Secondary 
responsibilities could include teaching courses such as biochemistry or 
chemical oceanography, which would be offered to support the Marine 
Science program.  The teaching load consists of twenty-four contact 
hours per academic year.  The successful candidate is also expected to 
develop an active research program that involves undergraduate
