[ISSHA] Oceanography Special Issue on the IOC

Hi everyone:

2010 marked the 50th anniversary of the role of IOC in marine 
science.  Accordingly, a special issue of the journal Oceanography 
was commissioned, entitled "A Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of 
the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission: IOC helping to lead 
and support the evolution of international ocean science. "  The 
entire volume can be downloaded from

That issue includes a paper on the history and  critical role of the 
IOC HAB program in the development of international HAB science.
