Dear Dr. Stephen S. Bates,

Thank you ever so much for your letters, very important
information about the actions of ISSHA and your personal
contribution to it. I wish you and your colleagues happy holiday
season, the best realization of your plans and good luck.
Sorry for taking your time but I need your advices in some
spheres.

1. ISSHA Membership Renewal Notification. I have already paid my
biannual Society dues during the HAB 2002 because of very high
rate of transfer from Ukraine: we discussed this problem with
Dr. Henrik Oksfeldt Enevoldsen some time ago. The letter of Dr.
Henrik Enevoldsen is enclosed as the attached file.
Meanwhile I intend to prolong the membership and take part in
ISSHA actions in the future because it is closely connected with
my scientific interests and educational activity.

2. Availability of a number of ISSHA materials. Is it possible to
look through the proceedings, abstracts and materials of
(a) the Second Symposium on Harmful Marine Algae in the U.S.
(Woods Hole, December 9-13, 2003);
(b) the regional training course "HABSEA Portal" in the South
East Asia on the Taxonomy of Harmful Microalgae;
(c) Training Course on Harmful Algae for North Africa (Salammbo,
Tunisia, December 1-10, 2003)?
Are there hard copies or web sites to receive this information?

Thank you very much for your letter and valuable information about
ISSHA. I'll use it by all means. It is necessary to say some words
about covering of my membership payment for 2002-2003. In St. Pete
Beach I have given 20 USD more to Dr. John Cooksey for the covering
my membership fee on 2002-03 while paying him my conference
registration fee, and I asked him to pass you those 20 dollars.
So I thought that I paid you for the second membership year - 2003-2004.
I guess Dr. John Cooksey could forget to tell you about it at the
Conference because of very intensive work and condensed schedule.

Should I write Dr. John Cooksey and ask him? Please inform me about it.
I'll be very grateful to you for the answer.
