The 8th Canadian Workshop on Harmful Marine Algae (CWHMA) was held during
May 28-30, 2003, at the Gulf Fisheries Centre, Fisheries and Oceans Canada,
Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

For those of who were not able to attend, the Program and abstracts of the
posters and oral presentations are available at

A reminder to those participants who wish to publish extended abstracts (2-3
pages) or full papers (up to 10 pages) in the Proceedings, the deadline for
submission is July 1.  Manuscripts may be sent directly to me or to
cwhma.glf at dfo-mpo.gc.ca.

The journal Harmful Algae (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/hal
<http://www.elsevier.com/locate/hal> ) will also consider publishing the
manuscripts, and will credit the CWHMA as the source.  Send them to Sandy
Shumway (sshumway at uconnvm.uconn.edu).  The deadline for submission is August
1.

I very much enjoyed greeting the participants at the Workshop and hearing
the excellent talks and posters presented.
