Dear colleagues --

The American Physical Society's Topical Group on the Physics of Climate
hosts a regular virtual seminar series during the academic year, aimed at
physics students, postdocs, and faculty who wish to broaden their knowledge
or who are interested in climate as a source of research problems.

Our next seminar will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 12 PM Eastern
*Standard* Time. This month's seminar will be:

"The Physical Review journals welcome Climate Research"

and will feature:
Dr. Selena Dalena (APS), Senior Editor, Physical Review Letters
Dr. Kyle Welch (APS), Associate Editor, Physical Review Letters
Prof. Valerio Lucarini (U. Leicester), Associate Editor, Physical Review E

Abstract:

"The Physical Review family of journals, published by the American Physical
Society, have long hosted some of the best work in physical science. In
this talk we will discuss the roles of Phys. Rev. journals that are
relevant to the climate and geophysics communities, and will highlight some
of the work our journals have published in the area in recent years. We
will then offer insights into our editorial process, and offer some helpful
tips for submitting papers and navigating peer review."

Interested students and postdocs are especially encouraged to attend and
ask questions; please pass this along to them. Of course all are welcome!
