Hi all-
Same situation in G&G with the added issue of duplicate IDs:
Your account email address(es) are associated with more than one NSF ID. NSF users should only have one NSF ID account per the NSF Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide (PAPPG).
You may continue work on proposals and awards, however, NSF has logged this discrepancy and will contact you to help reconcile your multiple accounts. Please be aware that these accounts must be reconciled, but there will be a grace period before your system access will cease.
If you have questions, please contact the NSF IT Help Desk at 1-800-381-1532 or rgov at nsf.gov.
So far the 4 of mine affected have not received anything from NSF and I will reach out to address this week.

I agree completely. Perhaps the Fastlane person meant that you must access proposal prep (and anything else) through Research.gov -- because we are certainly being dumped right back into Fastlane to prepare any type of proposal.... Sorry for adding to the confusion.
Another thing - I went in to Research.gov and verified all my PIs. For a few, the system said the password needed updating. I did this - but didn't realize that the PI got an email from the NSF system saying their password had changed. Some contacted Donna asking what was up. Fortunately, I had told her I did this...
If people verify/update their PIs in Fastlane, they might want to consider contacting the people whose passwords get changed.

I know that I have an NSF proposal coming up, so went to research.gov this morning to log in and complete the PI information verification - that went fine. I went to Prepare & Submit Proposals and received the notice below. There seems to be conflicting information out there about the timing of the migration to the new system. Looks like we are still in the system preview phase according to this, and that we don't submit our proposals through research.gov yet.
If it is accurate, the attached timeline might be useful too.
I never expected this confusion from the same folks that brought us fastlane!
