[Flex] Grants.gov and workspaces and 2018 rates and...

Dear Flex-ers:

As you may know, as of Jan. 1 , Grants.gov is moving to a new method of 
proposal submission, namely "Workspace".  GCS is aware of this, and 
Helen and I are testing a procedure for this that should work in the 
WHOI environment.  Please hold off on registering for Workspace.  We 
will get back to shortly; in the meantime, if you have questions, don't 
hesitate to contact us.

Dear Flex-ers:
We are planning a WHOIgrants users group meeting for early January. 
Topics will include the grants.gov transition to workspaces as well as 
other topics GCS has compiled and those you recommend.

For those of you who are curious about rates:
Until WHOI receives a signed provisional rate letter from ONR, we can't 
update the rates in WHOIgrants. Dave will let us know when that arrives. 
At that time, the overhead and fringe rates will be updated.

I am in the process of updating service center rates now. I will send 
email once they are ready to load into WHOIgrants towards the end of 
this week.

Please let your troops know.
