Hi all -
we just had a meeting with reps from different depts to tell them about 
the new pre-submission, pre-green sheet review process being implemented 
in February - as in, over this weekend...

We call it PBU for short. For 'long', it deals with Corporate Sponsored 
Research (agencies 16 & 18) and having the Office for Tech Transfer 
folks review All Submissions to those agencies for potential Private 
Business Use before a submission leaves.

Please see documentation on the portal under the help section. I put it 
both under C for Corporate and P for Private Business Use. (Direct link

In addition, there is initial documentation on the Document Upload 
facility and tab on the Submission. It is Very New and still kind of a 
Free For All. Look in the help section under D for Document.

(By the way - I have amended the handouts from our meeting today to 
include the instructions on how to create a special folder the program 
will use when it views a document. Make sure you have created a folder 
'C:\Temp' on your computer before attempting to view a document!)

We will be standardizing this as we go along.

You will hear more about this in the coming weeks and months.

At some point, FLEXers will be called upon to be beta testers for our 
new modules we have been funded to create this year: Electronic Document 
Storage and Electronic Routing & Approvals.

It's gonna be a busy year!

By the way- at this meeting, the counts for Feb 15 NSF panel were around 
86 submissions - so I know you are all working flat out. Hope having the 
current estimate for the Big Number of Submissions gives you something 
to prod the laggards...
