[Flex] FURTHER info re: new NSF font requirements

Dear Flexers -

One of the proposal formatting rules states: "No more than 6 lines
within a vertical space of 1 inch." However, when 3 (Arial, Helvetica
and Georgia) of the 4 newly required fonts are used, with 10pnt / single
line space settings, a slight bit of a 7th line of text creeps up into
the vertical 1 inch. In order to have a 6 line repeat pattern of an inch
or more, we have to */increase/* the line spacing to 1.1 lines. I have
confirmed with NSF that, indeed, this /will/ /be necessary/ if we choose
to use Arial, Helvetica or Georgia at 10pnt.
Therefore, using the 1-page demo of fonts that put together for our last
meeting, I've determined that if we use Arial, Helvetica, or Georgia at
*10.5* pnts, the single-line setting will fit exactly 6 lines of text
into one vertical inch (see attached PDF).

So - I've told my folks to go no smaller than 10.5, unless they increase
their line spacing (and therefore defeat the whole purpose of trying to
squish more text into the 15 pages).

Best Regards,
Sheila
