[Flex] FLEX Meeting Scheduled for 10/17/06

Marcey:

PO budget preparers have encountered a problem when including an 
employee from Development whose salary is nonpublic (such as Jim Kent, 
and now Fritz Heidi).  So we have to find someone who is privy to the 
info to load into the budget such as Helen or Claire, but they must get 
permission from the individual or department administrator (?Peggy Daly) 
and if there is some resistance then Helen and the consulting programmer 
must work together to include this salary in the budget and all of this 
takes a day or two (or more in some cases) and many phone calls, emails, 
etc.  We then have to edit the resulting WHOIgrants pdf to take out  TBA 
and add the individual's name.   In the case I'm thinking of the 
person's name wasn't allowed to be used, the salary was not allowed to 
be visible.   All we're hoping for here is a better process and some 
consistency to adding a Development employee in a budget.
