Hello -

The development of a grants management system for WHOI entered a new
phase last spring when we issued an RFP for an outside contractor to
help us develop a new Budget Module and to integrate our existing
modules (salary workup, Proposal Log and the Awards Database) into a
user-friendly package.  After the competition was completed we selected
a company located in Martson's Mills, Alexander Associates.

The WHOI design team consisting of Helen Gordon, Chris Hammond, Claire
Reid, and I have been working with Alexander Associates since August
and would like to update you on the progress to date and directions for
2004 and beyond.

We would like to meet with you on Friday, December 19 at 2pm in
Fenno Conference room for a brief presentation followed by an informal
discussion.  We plan to finish in plenty of time for everyone to get to
the annual Shop Party.  Thanks in advance for your time.
