Hello everyone!

I know we've had this problem before but I can't remember what the
solution is. A scientist has several large PDF files (color figures) he
created in Illustrator which he wishes to merge into 1 file. When he
does so in Acrobat he then needs to redistill the file to make it
version 3 compatible. When he does, the figures lose their color and
become black and white. This happens in the first step when exporting
the version 4 file to postscript.

I thought that the solution was to increase the memory allocated to
Acrobat, but this isn't working. Does anyone have any suggestions? By
the way, we're working with a Mac.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Diane
