Introduction to Environmental 'Omics using a Unix-based Virtual Machine

This webinar will describethe recent efforts byECOGEO
<http://earthcube.org/group/ecogeo/omicsvm>, a Research Coordination
Network (RCN), to provide training “aimed at researchers new to using
‘omics as a tool to explore research questions.”‘Omics is a catch-all
term that describes the sequence of biological code, such as nucleic
acids that make up a genome, or multiple genomes in an environmental
sample (i.e., a metagenome). This presentation will highlight the
stand-alone training modules created during our recent “Introduction to
Environmental ‘Omics” workshop (Jul 2016), which are now online and
freely available to the community.
