[Data-Mongers] Cloud Storage

Hello,

I'm contemplating moving some archival data to the Cloud, Amazon Glacier 
in particular. This would be infrequently, if ever, accessed data from 
old experiments, only 30 TB or so, adding a few more TBs each year. I 
would also keep the data online here, but use the cloud as an off-site, 
secure, low cost alternative backup.

Anyone else already doing this or something similar? I'm hoping to avoid 
common mistakes, and not spend an inordinate amount of time learning 
about cloud storage.
