[Data-Mongers] 4 pm TODAY Informatics Talk - L. Akella - Intro to Machine Learning and Applications

Dear fellow Informatics-inclined folks,

The second informal Friday Afternoon Informatics Talk will be held TODAY, April 9th at 4 PM in Candle House 104/105 on the MBL campus (map).
Lakshmi Manohar Akella will give an introduction to Machine Learning (summary and brief bio). After 5 pm discussions can continue over some refreshing beverages at the Captain Kidd or other local pub of the group's choosing.

The Friday afternoon talks will be every other Friday. We have created a wiki page for these and other Informatics events in Woods Hole. Please let us know if you about any informatics related event. Please forward this to anyone who might be interested and encourage them to subscribe to the Informatics discussion list to learn about future events.
