2) As a follow-up to our last WHIT seminar, John Farrington asked that 
we distribute the Institution's response to the report of the Scientific 
Data Advisory Committee - which incorporates the summary of the report. 
Rather than send out paper copies, we've posted it at the WHIT web site:
http://uop.whoi.edu/whit.html.  Excuse the bad html, it was generated by  
a monopoly.

If you'd like to see the report itself, it is available from the department
offices and from Colleen Hurter in the library. 

3) Remember that we have coffee at 10 on Friday, Clark 5 (the small room). 
Coffee and tea are provided by CIS, and donuts are usually provided by one 
of the regulars.  Come talk about programming, movies, system administration, 
horticulture, data-mongering, or local politics.
