[All-postdocs] Monthly Summer Salsa Saturdays!

Hello all!


This email is to let you know that this summer, there will be 3 free 
salsa dancing events in the Woods Hole Community Hall, with the first 
taking place this Saturday! Each event will each include a 30-minute 
introductory lesson followed by ~1 hour of open dancing. These events 
are family-friendly and open to the public, and all experience levels 
are welcome. No equipment or dance partner is necessary, though we 
encourage comfortable shoes and a water bottle. :) We are looking to get 
a rough headcount beforehand, so please click the link below to sign up!

*A bit more about salsa... *Salsa is a style of Latin American music & 
dance with influences from Cuba, Puerto Rico, and New York City -- 
though nowadays, salsa is largely ubiquitous across and beyond these 
places. Popularized in the 1960s, the music contains elements of mambo 
and jazz, making for incredibly fun and dynamic music that you can dance 
to alone, with a partner, or in a group. We (your hosts) love listening 
to and dancing salsa, and we are so excited to share that joy (and maybe 
convert some new salsa fans)!
