[All-postdocs] [Outreach & Education] URWG recruitment

Hello JP students, WHOI postdocs, and WHOI technical staff,

I am a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Working Group (URWG), a group within the Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We meet approximately once every one to two months to discuss issues relevant to undergraduate-focused outreach and programs at WHOI. In the past, this has included events that bring undergraduates to WHOI’s campus for visits, working with undergraduates during summer programs (SSF, PEP), and organizing ambassadors to speak with undergraduates at conferences.

We are seeking 1-2 new members of this committee in the new year. Members can come from any part of WHOI, including students, postdocs, and technicians (groups which are currently our recruitment target), but the URWG also can/does include scientific and administrative staff.
