[All-postdocs] 2023 Geodynamics Program - Call for Theme Ideas and Planning Meeting

GEODYNAMICS PROGRAM 2023


It is time to begin planning for the 2023 Geodynamics Program.


This program is a Joint Program spring semester course that presents a weekly seminar series bringing world science experts together with WHOI students and faculty to discuss and explore interdisciplinary research themes in earth, life, and planetary sciences. The seminar series (open to the broader WHOI community) culminates with a student/faculty field study tour to a theme-related destination. Salary compensation for science organizers and administrative and logistical support will be provided.


We will be holding an open meeting on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in the Carriage House.  All students, post-docs, faculty and staff interested in the Geodynamics program are welcome and encouraged to attend.


WHOI scientists who are interested in putting forward a theme for 2023 (or beyond) (including inviting a diverse set of engaging experts to come to WHOI to give a seminar, interact with the students, and engage with the faculty; and organizing a field study tour), please email your ideas to Meg Gresh (margaret.gresh at whoi.edu<mailto:margaret.gresh at whoi.edu>) by COB on Friday, September 30, 2022.
