Subject: Introducing AcadeMIA! The Musical

Hello WHOI community!!!

This winter will see the world premier of AcadeMIA!, a half-length musical exploring the crests and troughs of graduate school here at WHOI to the tune of lovingly adapted ABBA hits, and we would love for YOU to participate! We are looking for plenty of actors, musicians, and volunteers to help put on this show. Want to find out more? We're having an interest meeting at 3:00pm this Thursday, 12/8, in Clark 507 so come on by! Want to learn more now? Read on, Macduff, read on

We are looking for:

  *   Actors (1 lead, 3 supporting, and plenty more chorus members)
  *   Musicians (Drummer, electric bass, keyboard, electric guitar, violins)
  *   Creative team members (Stage manager, costumes, sound, props, set design, logistics, advertising,... you name it!)
General schedule:

  *   Rehearsals during IAP (January) & February
  *   Musicians begin rehearsals in February
  *   Performances early March at Redfield Auditorium!

If you can't make the interest meeting, but you want to find out more or participate, let us know! Also, feel free to send this to any other member of the WHOI community (e.g. guest students, research assistants, etc.) that you think would be interested!
