[All-postdocs] cruise opportunity for folks with chemical background - Indian Ocean April-May 2023

Hi all,

I’m a former WHOI postdoc and an Assistant Scientist at the PO department. I’m the chief scientist of a cruise on board R/V Revelle next year (April 6 to May 13, 2023, from Cape Town to Mauritius). This cruise is part of the Deep Madagascar Basin Experiment (DMB), in which we are investigating the Antarctic Bottom Water circulation in the Indian Ocean. I wonder if there is a postdoc or Ph.D. student with a background in chemical oceanography that would like to come to help with CFC/SF6 sampling and analysis on board. The Tritium Lab/U. Miami will lead the CFC/SF6 measurements, but we need to keep 24h ops and needs a pair of hands. We will pay for travel and lodging, and cruise time.
