Good afternoon,
Although we are already in the middle of our virtual science fair for
the high school students, we have created a virtual experience for the
Lawrence Junior High (7 & 8) and for K-6 classes/teams. I hope you will
consider.
If you are interested in judging either, please see the descriptions below:
*_Lawrence Junior High_* - The students are creating pre-recorded
videos. The judges would judge the projects based on the videos and any
other materials the students provide. There would be *NO* virtual
"face-to-face" meeting and judges would score the projects at their
leisure between Tuesday March 30th and Wednesday April 7th.
*_K-6 Class/Team Project _*- The teachers are submitting videos of
class/team projects they have conducted with their students. Judges
would watch the videos ahead of time. The teacher and the judge would
communicate the best time that the judge could Zoom with their class and
talk to the students and the teacher. This is also a great opportunity
to share what YOU do, with the younger students. Videos would be made
available on Tuesday March 9th. Teachers and judges would arrange a Zoom
session sometime between Monday March 15th, and Wednesday March 24th.
I need a few judges for each level so "first come first serve"! If you
are interested in judging K-6 projects, I am in particular looking for
friendly, enthusiastic adults who are also interested in sharing their
experience in the STEM fields with younger students they Zoom with.
If you are interested in judging either or both, *PLEASE COMPLETE THIS
BRIEF FORM*
