[All-postdocs] Virtual Post Doc social events by the PDA

Hi Post Docs,

Thanks to those who filled out our survey for virtual events! We are excited to get together and socialize safely. There will be a virtual happy hour this Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30 pm - WebEx information below. There will be a virtual coffee hour next Tuesday, April 7th at 2 pm - WebEx information below. I will email those of you interested in a virtual game night to self-organize.

Finally, we are very excited to be rolling out a Slack group for post docs! If you haven’t used Slack, it is a great way to interact with people virtually. There are separate “channels” to have discussion threads. For example, we have started channels for each department as well as channels for things like housing, post doc parents, exercise recommendations, book recommendations, TV and movie recommendations, etc. You can use the web interface of Slack or download the Desktop version and there is a lot of functionality with the free account. Please email me if you have suggestions for other channels or if you have any issues joining.
