> *ENGLISH CLASSES and TUTORING in the COMMUNITY*
REGISTRATION FOR
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE
ST. PATRICK's CHURCH, 511 MAIN STREET, FALMOUTH
registration: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 6:30-8:00 pm
Classes: at St. Patrick, free, Wednesday, 6:30 – 8:00 pm, start Sept. 11
ALSO
One on One Tutoring:
at United Methodist Church, 270 Gifford St., Falmouth, free
times to be scheduled by teacher and student
September – April
Registration for English as a Second Language (ESL) classes will on
Wednesday, Sept. 4th, from 6:30 to 8pm at St. Patrick's Church in Falmouth.
They offer levels from beginner to advanced. There is no academic
credit, but they give a certificate to students who complete a year.
Some find the certificate useful for further study or work.
Because of high demand experienced last year, they are cooperating with
John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth to offer additional
English learning opportunities. This year they will have teachers to
tutor students, one-on-one or in small groups, at their church at times
to be arranged between teacher and student. That program will also be
free. We will have a joint registration.
The program at St. Patrick’s Church is flexible about accepting students
throughout the year, as long as their English is at a reasonably
appropriate level for a class in progress (i.e., at midyear not a total
beginner) and there is still space.
The coordinator of the ESL program is Susan Morrison. If you have any
question you can reach Susan at spmorrison4 at comcast.net
