Falmouth: Farmer of the Year | Woods
Hole Film Festival
www.goelevent.com
When Hap Anderson, a widowed
83-year-old Minnesota farmer who
thinks he''s still quite the ladies''
man, sells his family farm, he finds
himself adrift and staring a short
future in the face. Driven by the
possibility of showing up with an old
flame and impressing his old army
buddies, he sets out in a dilapidated
Winnebago to attend his 65th WWII
reunion in California with his
directionless and unreasonably
self-confident granddaughter, Ashley.
Along the way they begin to understand
and appreciate each other as
individuals while discovering that
being young and being old, aren''t all
that different. USA, 2018

Boston Midnight
Marathon Bike Ride 2019
If you’re more of a cyclist than a runner
but still have marathon fever, you can
join a group of rebellious riders who plan
to ride from Southborough to Bostonthe
night before the marathon. The midnight
ride is slightly longer than the 26.2-mile
road race, but it’s also mostly downhill.
While many riders will carpool or take the
10:40 p.m. commuter rail from South
Station, it should be noted that bikes
aren’t allowed on the train. You can make
your own arrangements to have your bike
transported, or pay $30 to have organizers
shuttle it for you. (Sunday, April 14
from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.; Southborough
Station, Southborough; free; all
ages)
