**Cruise staffing is now in progress for the 2017 Integrated Benthic/Sea
Scallop Survey. If you'd like to volunteer, we'd be glad to have your
help. Here's how to participate:*

Submit a volunteer questionnaire with the dates you are available.
Confirmations of cruise participation will be sent within three weeks of
the requested departure date or earlier when possible. Submit your
questionnaire to:

Katherine Sowers
Northeast Fisheries Science Center
166 Water Street
Woods Hole, MA 02543/
/fax://508-495-2115/
/katherine.sowers at noaa.gov <mailto:email at noaa.gov>

The questionnaire can be downloaded from the Ecosystems Surveys Branch
website in the Cruise Volunteer Information section:**
http://www.nefsc.noaa.gov/femad/ecosurvey/mainpage/forms.html
<http://www.nefsc.noaa.gov/femad/ecosurvey/mainpage/forms.html> We need
the help of every scientist and volunteer who sails. Please be aware
that we work twelve-hour shifts, which means that you may be standing on
your feet for twelve hours.* If there is an emergency, or you anticipate
that you will not be able to participate on a cruise that you are
scheduled for, please contact me immediately.* Helpful information for
new volunteers on what to expect at sea and what to bring on the survey
can be found
here:http://www.nefsc.noaa.gov/femad/ecosurvey/mainpage/welcome_aboard.html

*2017 Summer Cruise Schedule
*
Please note that we anticipate working in the identified regions;
environmental or mechanical problems may force us to change the area of
operation.
