[All-postdocs] 2017 Faculty Job Application Writing Workshop

September/October Faculty Job Application Writing Workshop being organized
by the Postdoc Association. The workshop is open to all local postdocs and
JP students (WHOI, USGS, MBL, WHRC, etc.) and will be especially useful to
those planning to submit job applications this Fall.

All meetings are tentatively planned to occur at 12-1:30pm, but the day of
the week remains TBD. Please fill out the survey

August 18* to have your day of the week preferences included in the
scheduling decision.

Week 0: Sept 11-15 -- Panel on Faculty Job Applications
Week 1: Sept 18-22 -- Workshop your Research Statement
Week 2: Sept 25-29 -- Workshop your Teaching Statement
Week 3: Oct. 2-6 -- Workshop your Cover Letter
Week 4: Oct. 9-13 -- Workshop your CV
Week 5 (as needed): Oct. 16-20 -- Diversity statements, research proposals,
etc.

Note that Weeks 1-5 are for small-group workshopping of application
materials. You'll have contact information for 3-4 other participants with
whom you'll swap materials a few days beforehand. Then, at the meeting
time, bring your lunch and provide feedback for one another.
