Hello all,

I am conducting a one day field experiment at Waquoit Bay Inlet (~10
miles from Woods Hole Village) the week of Oct 5th and am looking for a
volunteer or two to help conduct the experiment. The experiment
involves making near simultaneous measurements of volumetric discharge
(flow rate) using a boat-mounted ADCP and a quadcopter. We need
assistance laying out ground control points to rectify the aerial images
and also making sure we do not damage our ADCP along the riprap that
lines the inlet. Experience handling small boats is a plus but not
required.

Because it is not advisable to fly our drone in winds in excess of 15
mph we're shooting to run the experiment all day (7:30 - 3:30 pm)
Monday, Oct 5th but have also scheduled that Wednesday (Oct 7th) and
Friday (Oct 9th) as back up days if the weather does not cooperate. *I
am looking for volunteers for all three days with the understanding that
the experiment will be conducted when the weather permits.* The
Go-No-go decision will be made the day before. Please let me know if
you are interested in spending the day out on the water. Healthy and
unhealthy snacks will be provided.

Thank you,
Erika Johnson
