Hi Janet -
I am moving at the end of Nov and thought some of the incoming
WHOI postdocs might be looking for a great and affordable place to live.
My 1-bedroom apartment is about a 15 minute drive to Quissett Campus and
the $1000/month rent includes utilities, internet, and cable. The unit
is on top of a detached garage, so the tenant has no shared walls, so
it's very quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of windows (including 2
skylights), as well as a big back deck that overlooks a wooded yard with
abundant wildlife. I would be delighted if the next tenant enjoys
feeding birds and squirrels, as I've cultivated a nice group of furry
and feathered neighbors and would be happy to leave my (many) feeders!
Below I've included a list of the critters I've seen while living here.
The apartment was completely renovated two years ago, just before
I moved in, and has hardwood floors throughout. It has a reasonable
sized kitchen, and although counter space is limited, there is plenty of
room for a table. The apartment is ~500 sq-ft, with slightly less
walkable space due to sloping ceilings. The kitchen and living room are
part of one large space so it has an open feel. There is a large closet
in the bedroom and the landlord (who lives in the main house) provides
some storage space in the garage - as well as access to a lovely front
loading washer and dryer!
One of the best aspects of living here has been my wonderful
landlord, Binh Phu. He is incredibly kind and takes immaculate care of
the property, which boasts a stunning yard. This apartment has been one
of the best places I've lived and I'm sure the next tenant will
appreciate it as much me.
Anyone who is interested can contact me directly and I'll put them
in touch with Binh.
Thanks Janet!
