[All-postdocs] Requesting advice: best cars for the Cape?

Hi all--

I will be moving out this August and hope to purchase a car before I
arrive. I am moving from Providence where we have decent snow removal in
the winter. However, I am wondering if this is the case on the Cape. In the
worst of the winter months, do you feel like an all-wheel drive vehicle is
necessary or advisable? What about small compact cars or hybrids with low
ground clearance (eg. Honda Fit or Toyota Prius)?
