<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">We have a bloom of a probable Chattonella species in Esperanza Inlet, on the mid-W side of Vancouver Island. Cell counts in samples received yesterday were max ~90 cells/mL, but farms in that area were seeing mortalities. More samples should be arriving today or tomorrow.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Heterosigma is still present in samples from many areas around the island. Concentrations are generally fairly low, with a maximum here in Nanaimo of 700 cells/mL in the 1m sample.</FONT></P>
