<p class="MsoNormal">The Waquoit Bay Reserve Foundation, in partnership with the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve is seeking an energetic teacher to co-teach weekly sessions related to estuary ecology this summer. Children in in grades 2 – 12
attend a one-week session from July through mid-August at the Waquoit Bay Reserve.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Duties include:<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.5in">• Attend four paid training/orientation sessions at the Waquoit Bay Reserve to work with Reserve Education staff to plan, design and organize summer school programs.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.5in">• Provide planning and teaching for week-long educational experiences for children in grades 2 through 12 that encourage curiosity in science and the natural world.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.5in">• Conduct engaging, hands-on lessons and activities in the classroom, woodlands, salt marshes and shoreline within the Waquoit Bay Reserve.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Teach and demonstrate principals of sustainability and stewardship in all programs.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Participate in a wrap-up meeting at the end of the season.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Schedule: Monday through Friday, July 8-August 16, 8:15AM to 3:30PM plus training.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Preferred Qualifications:<o:p></o:p></b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Experience working with children.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Outdoor education and/or field experience.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Current CPR/ First Aid certification required prior to start date.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in;text-indent:-.5in">• Must be knowledgeable about coastal ecology and comfortable working in the field and handling live marine invertebrates.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">• Degree in a related field is a plus.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><a name="_Hlk161819495">Salary: $30-34/hour including training and end of season wrap-up. This is a seasonal contract position that does not provide benefits. The contract term for the teacher begins at the end of June and continues through
