<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Once listed as endangered, the Agassiz’s Clam Shrimp was re-found in a storm water basin wetland on the Camp Edwards Training Site in 2015 where
it had been previously documented in 1999. After that, a concerted effort by the Massachusetts Army National Guard’s Natural Resources Program focused on documenting and protecting the species. Also, a long-term conservation plan was developed along with a
variety of conservation tools to protect and preserve these unique pieces of Cape Cod’s natural heritage and history. Hopefully, greater public awareness will lead to the discovery of more clam shrimp locations throughout the region.
