Tour the “Shirley G. Cross Wildflower Garden” at the Green Briar Nature Center at 6 Discovery Hill Road in East Sandwich and the “Hidden Garden” of Bob King and Tobin Wirt at Summer Street in Sandwich Village. Expect flowers and hydrangeas galore! Both gardens are festival favorites. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'>At Green Briar learn what makes a garden grow with experts on hand. Green Briar’s herb and cottage gardens will also be on display with ongoing guided tours of the wildflower garden. Green Briar will also be hosting a “Summer Garden Plant Sale” offering native wildflowers, trees, shrubs, berries and beach plums! Green Briar’s unique Mercantile will also be open for outside sales of jams, jellies, books, and a wide variety of nature-related items.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'>The “Hidden Garden” in the village features dahlias of many shades, layers of morning glories, many different perennials and annuals as well as several examples of hydrangeas in shades of pink to deep purple. Here also is the kitchen garden, a display ready for summertime eating. From the street, the charm and blooms are secluded, hidden behind a tall hedge, making this a secret spot.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in;line-height:150%'>Admission to tour each garden is $5. Tickets are available on the day of the tour at Green Briar along with a map and directions to the private home garden in the village.
