This week-long, <b class="">day camp</b> is geared towards current <b class="">high school students (ages 15-18</b>) and will focus on building and testing a variety of oceanographic tools and instruments, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and ocean sensors. Campers will also have the opportunity engage with scientists and engineers and learn about ocean science/exploration careers. <a href="http://innerspacecenter.org/category/announcements/" class="">http://innerspacecenter.org/2019/03/ocean-exploration-naval-science-and-technology-camp/</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><a href="http://innerspacecenter.org/education-outreach/camps/" class=""><b class=""><i class="">Ocean Science Exploration Camp</i></b></a> will take place from <b class="">July 15-19, 2019,</b> and will focus on <b class="">physical oceanography</b>. During this week-long, <b class="">day camp</b>, youth, <b class="">ages 11-14</b>, will use the tools and techniques of physical oceanographers to investigate oceanographic concepts such as density, buoyancy, water pressure, and salinity, as well as explore the science and dynamics of ocean currents, tides, and waves. The URI/GSO campus and its surrounding coastal waters offer a unique estuarine environment through which coastal circulation and associated biogeochemical processes can be explored. Campers will also visit university laboratory facilities, engage with scientists that are involved in active missions, and discover ocean careers. <a href="http://innerspacecenter.org/education-outreach/camps/" class="">http://innerspacecenter.org/education-outreach/camps/</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: auto; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: auto; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;" class=""><br class=""></div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline">
