</head><body><div class="io-ox-signature"><p><img src="cid:41985493e8264562bdfca287fe0692fe@Open-Xchange" style="max-width: 100%;" class="aspect-ratio" alt=""><br></p><p><br></p><p>Join the Coonamessett River Trust for a talk by Chuck Martinson on <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Monday, March 11, 2019 at 7:30 p.m</strong></span> in the Hermann Room at the <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Falmouth Public Library, 300 Main St. Falmouth</strong></span>.   Chuck will discuss the state of Falmouth’s 10 river herring runs.  Chuck is the Town of Falmouth Deputy Director of Marine and Environmental Services, where he trains and supervises other Natural Resource officers in both law enforcement and environmental work.   He is also the Shellfish Constable and Herring Warden.</p><p>The Trust will also give an update about the Coonamessett River Restoration Project and talk about their ground breaking herring tagging program to monitor the progress of herring as they migrate up and down the river system.  The public is invited to “adopt” these herring to offset the costs of the monitoring program ($12 each fish or 3 for $30) and even get to name their fish! </p><p>The CRT also donates the tagged herring to local schools where students learn about animal life cycles, ecology, hydrology, local cultural history and the environment in their own backyard.   </p><p>For additional information about the meeting or if you would like to adopt a herring or donate to the school program, email <a href="mailto:crivertrust@gmail.com">crivertrust@gmail.com</a> or visit our Facebook page <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Coonamessett-River-Trust-154082221281677/">https://www.facebook.com/Coonamessett-River-Trust-154082221281677/</a><br></p><p>Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.</p><p><span style="color: #000080;"><br></span></p></div></body></html>
