While Santa Claus may use a sleigh to get around, he will be arriving
by research vessel this year for his annual visit to the Woods Hole
Science Aquarium on Saturday, December 15, 2018. The special event
provides an opportunity to visit on a Saturday, when the Aquarium is
usually closed, and enjoy some special activities.

The Aquarium, operated by NOAA’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center,
is located at 166 Water Street in Woods Hole and will be open 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. for this special event. Santa will arrive aboard the Center’s

large crowd on hand to greet him.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Aquarium on a Saturday and view some
special exhibits arranged for this occasion, have their picture taken
with Santa, and participate in marine-related arts and crafts activities. Among the
special exhibits will be an octopus, part of the Marine Biological
