Join in the fun making your own jars of something special to take home and enjoy or give as a gift during the coming holiday season.. Expert instruction and all materials are provided to make 4 to 6 jars of product. The following Wednesday evening classes for adults meet from 6pm to 8pm: <b>November 7</b>-cranberry lemon pear jam; <b>November 14</b>-Thanksgiving spiced jam; <b>November 28-</b>apple pie jam; <b>December 5</b>-apple cranberry chutney; <b>December 12</b>- holiday berry jam; <b>December 19-</b>holiday berry jam. The following Saturday morning classes for adults meet from 9:30am-11:30am: <b>November 3</b>-apiced autumn fruit jam; <b>November 10</b>-cranberry lemon pear jam; <b>December 15</b>-holiday berry jam.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:150%'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:150%'> Saturday afternoon classes for an adult and child working together meet from 1pm to 3pm. Children must be at least 6 years old to work in the kitchen: <b>November 10</b>-cranberry lemon pear jam; <b>December 15</b>-holiday berry jam. The fee per workshop is $40 for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $50 for non-members. The fee includes one adult and one child in the family classes. Call soon as jam classes fill quickly especially during the holiday season.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal align=center style='text-align:center;line-height:150%'><b><span style='color:black'>BIRDING AT GREEN BRIAR <o:p></o:p></span></b></p><p class=MsoNormal style='line-height:150%'>Beginner and experienced birders are invited to join naturalist and experienced birder Gretchen Moran Towers for “Tuesday Tweets” on <b>October 23</b> from 11am to noon at the Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich. Walk along the trails of the Briar Patch to watch, study and enjoy our feathered friends in their natural habitat. On Thursday, <b>October 25</b> from 11am to noon “Birdwatching for Beginners” introduces<span style='color:black'> basic skills to identify birds through sight and sound. Then venture outdoors to view birds in their natural habitat. This program includes a discussion of ideas for promoting birdwatching in your own yard. Adults and families are welcome. The fee per person for each date is $4 for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $6 non-members.
