2:00pm for a guided tour and history of the award-winning <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Shirley</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">G.</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Cross</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Wildflower</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Garden</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> with an emphasis
on Bluebells, both English and Virginia. Then enjoy rose tea and a
catered tea sandwich and dessert menu served inside the nature center. Bid on a
unique wildflower in the silent auction and bring home a gift of a lovely glass
cup plate from the Commemorative Burgess Animal Series, which featured animal characters
from the tales of Peter Rabbit and friends by Thornton W. Burgess. Learn
why these small glass plates were once used for resting hot cups of tea in
place of the saucer and later became popular collectibles. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
