<div dir="ltr"><b>Calling all teachers, after school program directors and summer camp directors: </b><div><b><br></b></div><div>Ocean Protection Advocacy Kids, Inc. (OPAK) is offering marine science, art and advocacy workshops for students ages 7-13 throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Our workshops are partially grant funded and cover the full cost of supplies. Through our grant we have funding available for a few small field trips and for filming of a short ocean documentary that your class could be involved with (filming with be conducted by Animal Welfare Media)! The best part: WE COME TO YOU! </div><div><br></div><div>All of workshops blend art and science through engaging STEAM curriculum that gets kids to become curious ambassadors for the environment! Each workshop has its own unique ocean theme, art project and science experiment and can be offered in-school, after school or as a summer workshop. Program length varies by teachers needs and availability. </div><div><br></div><div><u>The workshops</u>: (Typical price per hour workshop is $150, based on a class size of 25. However, we are flexible, so please do not let price deter you) </div><div><br></div><div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><b>Plankton and Plastics</b></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">This workshop explores the microscopic marine food web while investigating the impact that marine debris is having on our oceans. The workshop also includes a plankton art project which introduces students to copepod anatomy! </div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><b>Songs of the Sea</b></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">This workshop highlights the diets, size and communication patterns of whales found in New England. Following this brief lesson students will work with our educators to write their own marine advocacy song! </div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><b>Marsh Critters</b></div><div style="font-size:12.8px">Marshes are an extremely important resource for all coastal communities. This workshop will teach students about what lives in marshes and the need for coastal resiliency. As always, our lesson will be capped off with an art project! </div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><br></div><div style="font-size:12.8px"><i>The workshops can be offered as single lessons or multi-day programs. So, the possibilities are endless!
