2017 has been a banner year for mushrooms, slime molds, and all sorts of strange things you might see growing in your yard or garden. Whether your interest is in learning about their natural history, identification, edibility, or in simply
marveling at their appearance, there’ll be a little bit for everyone. Join Mass Audubon's Dan McCullough from Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary in Belmont for an indoor presentation where you’ll get up close to a variety of specimens and examine characteristics of
certain genera as well as an introduction to field guides, lore, myths, and a whole bunch of fun(gal) facts. After lunch Dan will lead an outdoor excursion to discover what mushrooms are waiting to be found at the sanctuary. Join us for a day of seeing mushrooms
like you’ve never seen them before.
