<p>The Marjot Foundation seeks applications from high school
students (grades 9-11)

conducting independent field and/or laboratory research projects
on environmental issues. Students must write an independent
proposal detailing their research goals to be carried out over a
one-year period.

Applications are due on <strong>April 1, 2017. </strong> Students
must have a mentor who will provide a letter stating he/she will
help the students with their research. Students will be required
to participate in a science fair at the conclusion of their
research.

Projects may focus on any area of environmental research, and must
be designed by the student applicant. Current Marjot Foundation
grants are $5000, with $1000 going to the student(s), $1000 to the
mentor, $500 to the School Department, and $2500 to cover the cost
