The dinner generated over $11,000 in support of WILD CARE’S mission of rehabilitating and releasing sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife. “This fundraiser has become a wonderful tradition for Wild Care. We filled the restaurant with kind-hearted and generous patrons, many of whom come to this event every year. We are so thankful for Donna and Kathy’s generosity”, states WILD CARE Executive Director, Stephanie Ellis. “WILD CARE is dependent on public donations. We do not receive state, federal, or municipal funding, and the cost of running WILD CARE for one month during the summer months is upward of $18,000. In 2015, we rehabilitated a total of 1,276 animals. As of today, we have already received over 1,300 animals. With the pending closure of the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable, we are going to see an influx of animals in need. I believe this is going to be a record year for Wild Care.
