The public is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. The meeting and talk will be held in the Hermann Room at the Falmouth Main Public Library at 300 Main St Falmouth on Thursday, Aug 4<sup>th</sup> at 7pm. </span></p><p style="margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="margin: 0px;"><span> </span></p><p style="margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="margin: 0px;"><span>Although the risk of a Zika outbreak here is extremely low, other mosquito borne diseases such as West Nile and Eastern Equine Encephalitis are of concern. West Nile was recently detected in a mosquito trapped in a catch basin in Woods Hole. Ms. Sakolsky will also discuss what you can do to reduce the numbers of mosquitos on your property and how to limit your exposure.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="margin: 0px;"><span> </span></p><p style="margin: 0px;" data-mce-style="margin: 0px;"><span><img src="cid:a8a7af0e470667f62869063c20409b887b8e08a8@zimbra" data-mce-src="cid:a8a7af0e470667f62869063c20409b887b8e08a8@zimbra">In 1993, Ms. Sakolsky was hired as the fulltime project entomologist at Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project where she serves as Staff Entomologist and Assistant Superintendent. She has conducted and directed the mosquito arbovirus surveillance program for Barnstable County over the past 23 years.
