May 18 there will be a free workshop on the final MS4 stormwater permit for
Massachusetts and stormwater collaboratives</u></b>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal">The
workshop will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 PM at Lecture Hall A, Science
Building, Cape Cod Community College, 2240 Iyannough Road (Route 132), West
Barnstable, MA 02668. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>An Agenda is
attached.</b><span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This workshop provides an important opportunity to learn
firsthand from EPA about the new 2016 final MS4 Stormwater Permit for
Massachusetts.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>This long-awaited
stormwater permit will require most communities on Cape Cod and many others in
Massachusetts to meet tougher standards for stormwater management under the
Nonpoint Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and the federal Clean Water Act.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This workshop also provides important information on
stormwater collaboratives, a way for communities to partner and share
cost-effective stormwater solutions.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>At
the end of the workshop, there will be a poll to learn about Cape Cod’s
municipal stormwater needs and potential benefits of forming a stormwater
collaborative on Cape Cod. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span><u>The poll
will be used to plan next steps for Cape Cod communities to meet the MS4
requirements, so please plan to attend</u>.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><br></p><p class="MsoNormal">The workshop is intended for public works managers, stormwater managers,
wastewater and water resource managers, municipal and regional decisionmakers,
NGOs and the public.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The workshop is hosted by the Association to Preserve Cape
Cod (APCC), the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program, the Barnstable
County Coastal Resources Committee and the Cape Cod Commission.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes"> </span>Attendance is free of charge, but RSVP is
