W. Burgess Society offers a “Birding Excursion” with Cape
naturalist and field leader John Hanlon, leaving from the <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Green</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Briar</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Nature</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType> in <st1:place w:st="on">East
Sandwich</st1:place> by passenger van at 7:00am and returning by
10:00am. Look for resident birds along the rivers and ponds of <st1:place
w:st="on">South Sandwich</st1:place> and Mashpee areas, including Ryder
Conservation Area, Lowell Holly Reservation and the Mashpee River Woodlands
Reservations. Be prepared to walk along uneven woodland trails and
paths. Bring binoculars or borrow a pair with advance notice. The fee is
$12 for Burgess Society members, $16 for non-members. Paid registration
