<DIV>Members of these two groups get hands-on boating and water safety skills,
and build life skills, while exploring local marine resources and maritime
career opportunities. In addition to learning leadership, seamanship, and
fellowship, scouts and explorers visit various organizations, and meet with
craftsmen and experts to learn about the diversity of maritime industries and
careers that exist on Cape Cod. These include boatbuilding, marine rescue and
survival, marine science and technology, commercial and sport fishing and
maritime history. Other opportunities include camping, seal watching,
snorkeling, and sailing on board larger vessels such as tall ships. </DIV>
